EMPLOYMENT NOTICE


Applications are invited for filling up 14 temporary posts of Driver (12 for General category, 1 for SC/ST/BC/OBC and 1 for Exservicemen) in the pay scale of Rs. 5910- 20200 plus Grade pay Rs. 2400/- (with initial start of Rs. 9880/-) plus usual allowances as admissible from time to time. The number of vacancies can be increased or decreased without any prior notice.
The minimum educational qualification for the post of Driver is Middle pass with Punjabi/Hindi as one of the subjects. Applicant should possess a valid LTV licence and he should not have been convicted of any offence for negligent driving and should have a minimum of two years experience of driving car.

The minimum age should not be less than 18 years and maximum age should not be more than 27 years as on 07.04.2012 for candidates belonging to all the categories.

A written test will be held to shortlist the candidates for the posts of Drivers. Thereafter, candidates will be selected on the basis of practical test as well as interview. The candidates proposed to be selected will be required to work for 15 days on trial basis for which they will be
paid as per rate applicable to daily wagers.
The applications on the proforma given below, complete in all respects, accompanied by Demand draft/ crossed Indian Postal Order of Rs.200/- payable at Chandigarh, in favour of the Registrar General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh in the case of candidates belonging to General category and Rs. 100/- in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/OBC/Ex-servicemen, should reach the office of Registrar Recruitment, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh on or before 07.04.2012, together with copies of middle certificate, proof of age, experience and two passport size photographs, duly attested. The candidates already in Govt./Semi Govt. Service/Corporation or Board shall route their applications through proper channel. All other conditions of recruitment not covered in this notice shall be regulated under relevant provisions of the High Court Establishment (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1973, as amended from time to time.
