RECRUITMENT OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANTS/TECHNICAL OFFICERS/SR. TECHNICAL OFFICERS (Group III STAFF)
The CSIR-CGCRI is 4th oldest Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory under the CSIR, DSIR, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. CSIR-CGCRI is dedicated to achieve scientific leadership in the area of advanced ceramics and specialty glasses (including fibre/fibre-based devices). Major research activities of the Institute concern: specialty glasses, specialized optical fibre, Sol-gel processing of glass and ceramics, nano-structured glass and ceramics, engineering ceramics (both oxides and non-oxides), ceramics for bio-medical applications, ceramic membranes, advanced refractories , ceramic sensor, oxide fuel cells & batteries, traditional ceramics (white ware and red clay pottery) etc. Majority of the research projects are funded by government agencies, strategic sectors and private industries.
The institute invites applications from bonafide Indian citizens for the following positions:
A. Technical Assistant: 08 Posts {UNRESERVED (UR)-03, SC-03 & OBC-02): Pay Band-2
(`9300-34800/-) with Grade Pay of `4200/-
AGE: Not exceeding 28 Years as on 01.05.2012
B. Technical Officer: 04 Posts {UNRESERVED (UR)-03, OBC-01)}: Pay Band-2 (`9300-34800/-) with Grade Pay of `4600/-
AGE: Not exceeding 30 Years as on 01.05.2012
C. Sr. Technical Officer(1): 03 posts {UNRESERVED (UR)}: Pay Band-3 (`15600-39100/-) with Grade Pay of `5400/-
AGE: Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.05.2012
D. Sr. Technical Officer (2): 01 Post {NO RESERVATION): Pay Band-3 (`15600-39100/-) with Grade Pay of `6600/-.
AGE: Not exceeding 40 Years as on 01.05.2012

envelope of the size 23x11 cms affixed with `10/- postage stamps.
The complete application in all respects, signed and accompanied with self- attested copies of the certificates/testimonials in support of age, educational qualifications, experience, caste certificate (for SC/OBC candidates) etc. as mentioned in the application together with an application fee of ` 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “ CGCRI, Kolkata” payable at Kolkata preferably at SBI JU Branch Code No. 0093 should reach the Administrative Officer, Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute, 196, Raja S.C. Mullick Road, Kolkata – 700032 on or before 01.05.2012. There is no application fee for SC candidates. Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.
