Recruitment to the post of Assistant Director (Tech./Faculty) in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100+5400GP on direct recruitment basis in the National Power Training Institute.

National Power Training Institute, an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Power set up by the Government of India for Human Resources Development in the Power Sector invites applications for
the post of Assistant Director (Tech./Faculty) in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100+5400GP at its Corporate Office, Faridabad or its 8 Institutes located at Badarpur (New Delhi), Nangal (Punjab), Nagpur (Maharashtra), Durgapur (West Bengal), Guwahati (Assam), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Neyveli (Tamil Nadu) as per the details given below :
No. of Posts : 35 (Thirtyfive) (SC : 05, ST : 04, OBC : 08, UR : 18)
Age limit : 40 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC)
Pay Band/Grade Pay : Rs.15600-39100 + 5400, DA (presently 65%) and other allowances as applicable
in the Central Govt.


Qualifications and Experience
Essential :
1. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
2. Two years experience at Power Sector/Teaching. Experience will be calculated upto the last date of receipt of applications.
Desirable : (a) Aptitude for training (b) Knowledge of Computer/Simulator


Job Description :
i) Teaching B.Tech./PGDC and other courses/training programme.
ii) Preparation of course material and to function as faculty for imparting training to the engineering personnel and to coordinate training programs in different areas of power sector.
iii) Procurement, Installation, Commissioning and maintenance of equipment and development of training aids/laboratories and workshops, consultancy jobs etc.
